He looks like  TE to me with TE speed who doesn't want to block and who is scared to catch the ball in the middle of the field, BFD.  The plays he catches the ball on are designed for smaller, quicker, faster players. There is a reason why he doesn't have a position.  What we need is a 6-4 225 guy in space with average speed!!!
 
Shafer could hire that guy, I just don't know if he will.  Defense is almost behind special teams at this point when it comes to the 3 disciplines in college football, you just need to outscore people at this point, kick the ball well and make a few plays on ST.  Like my chances
