But it does crack me up that publicly he could not come off any stiffer. It was cracking me up. Axe leads off the interview with a softball about the annual BE crab bake, to which Marrone responds, "We're thinking about football right now." Then Axe asks about practicing at Ft. Drumm or wherever and appears completely unprepared for how to answer the question. It's faaaarrrr easier to sit here writing but I'm assuming what DM likes about the military is their discipline, attention to detail and core values, etc.
 
I like the guy and think he can be a good coach. And I give him credit for the twitter feed and facebook page, which I'm sure he basically hates. I also believe he's intelligent and probably simply doesn't love doing pointless media interviews. The beginning of the interview though literally had me laughing out loud.
