So I was here for the first 4 games. I left last night before I knew we had the perfect game. It started very late. 9:20 instead of 8:00 due to the game on the field we were scheduled for running very long. I left at 10:15 and the score was 5-0. The game today against GCU was A M A Z I N G. We caught up to send it into extra innings. We really did not look like the team that would win for the first 6 innings. We worked our way back into it, and caught up in the 7th. Then we had to keep playing catch up in the extra innings, until the 10th when we finally held them scoreless. Then I got the parents to do a LGO cheer as we were coming up to bat. And lo and behold it worked. I don't know if you know, but they were playing by international rules, and in ot each team starts with one runner on 2nd base. So we bunted, and due to an error trying to throw the player out, we were able to score the winning run. That game ran an hour late. They made them go right into the UCLA game. The players did not even get a bathroom break. A few ran up to the bathroom. Also UCLA had grabbed most of the seats, so there was not places for all of the Syracuse fans to sit. We had a lot there. Lots of family travelled to the game. We have a few California players, and they bought whole families (Aunts, Uncles, etc) and some of their high school friends came also. We probably had 75-100 fans at each of our games. I left in the 2nd inning of the UCLA game as I had plans. I won't attend tomorrow as I have to get back to AZ, even though it is an early morning game. The families I met were so nice, and the entire experience was great. If they come to your area, go see them. They really appreciate the fans coming.
