Just to add some perspective... despite coming off successive losing seasons (6-7 and 4-9), the Terps have enjoyed consecutive, consensus top 20 recruiting classes. This year's class was rankled as high as #11, and included 11 - 4* recruits. Looking at the list of commits, DJ Durkin has heavily mined players in his backyard (DC-Balt metro area). The Terps appear to be a sleeping giant.

I've been hearing for a couple decades now that Rutgers is a sleeping giant too. I believe that giant may be comatose.

Actually, I do agree with you about Maryland. The talent level there is rising and they have the money to invest in the program. Now let's see what the coach can do with it.

They play in a hotbed of talent and have a mega booster in Kevin Plank, who despite Under Armour trending downward, is willing to do what is necessary for the program.

Well aware of Maryland's recruiting success. It would be the same for us If NYS had as much talent and we hade 4 of the top recruiters on our staff.

Yep, all that is true. However, they will always battle to rise up above the PSU, OSU, Michigan, MSU, Wisky, and now Nebraska is trending up with a exciting offensive coach. Probably be a lot like us, in that 7-5, 8-4, and occasionally 9-3 is what they are looking likely at and hopeful for, in most years. Gonna be a battle for them to be anything but a mid tier program, despite their location and boosters.
