Not even close.  Iowa St has invested more in their football program than we ever have. If you don’t believe me go check out their brand new facilities.  Also, they have a strong fan base that consistently fills the stadium.  At this point all the P5 programs are basically equal.  I do think it would be more attractive to HC’s not having to play

I would extend Babers now.  If anything you can buy low.  I think it’s pretty obvious he is the right choice.  He had to drastically overhaul the offense and defense. His best players aren’t exactly perfect fits on either side of the ball.

I’m sure he’s taking note of the HC’s who are being extended... Ash, Fleck, Campbell. Those are all HC’s hires around the same time, from the same background, and at similar programs.  Those schools have shown at least some dedication to wanting to win .  We should extend now, or be sorry later.
