I went to the 2017 LSU game and was talking with their fans during the game, who were getting extremely frustrated by the offensive play calling.  LSU had a bunch of delay of game penalties because of the ridiculous amount of pre-snap motion Canada used.  I told their fans to enjoy that all season, because that was Canada's MO - it wasn't going to work in the SEC so they were nuts to hire him.  I wasn't shocked when he got canned.

Now he's a major talking point with the Steelers, because their offense is atrocious.  Canada had one good season with Pitt in 2016, when they averaged 40PPG- and he got national attention as a result of the Pitt - Syracuse game (76 - 61).  I'm astonished and a little impressed he's managed to parlay that one good season into as many additional opportunities as he has, considering he's been between mediocre to terrible at all of them.  I feel like he owes Dino a debt of gratitude; he would have washed out of coaching (or at least been relegated to being a position coach) about five years ago if it wasn't for that 2016 game.

Alternately, I guess that Steelers fans have cause to blame Dino for some portion of their current struggles.
