at least the worst one i have to subject myself to. The guys is just terrible at play by play. calling the yards gained, the down and distance etc. he’s terrible.

What made me insane Saturday was him jumping out of his seat screaming that (Rodney Williams I think) made an interception, only to be told 30 seconds later that LSU had in fact caught the ball and it was for a first down. smh

He was literally on a personal phone call during one portion of the game that Park was doing play by play. It was towards the end, my head almost exploded.

I've never heard Park call a game, but one thing that people consistently complain about is his refusal to mention down, distance, yard lines, etc.

Agree on Park, but I never thought Doug was very Good, Now Joel on the other hand......

Matt seems fine to me because you have to consider the alternatives- Axe, Pud Boliquin, etc.

But is he the only alternative? They could easily get somebody who is better and cheaper, no?

I like Matt. Every "Voice of the Orange" we've ever had has been poor at telling us the exact yardage a play gained. (Fourth and one: "He goes into the line for short yardage"). My one complaint about Matt is that he shouts "the ball is on the ground" every time he sees a commotion. Then when he finds there was no fumble "the runner fell on it".

Of course, if you actually go to the games and watch the road games on TV, it's not a big problem.

Can't stand Gedney.

I'll never forgive him regarding his commentary about one of our players during the Spring Game. He comes across like a real jack a$$.

agree completely. loved him as a player, not so much as a commentator. the mcnabb effect. that spring game comment he had finished it for me.

Matt is terrible. It's his job to tell us down and distance. My other favorites are when he says 'pushes ahead for a couple' so I'm thinking it's 3rd and 7 and when he calls it out it's actually 3rd and 2. His 'couple' of yard gains are usually a lot more than that. It's maddening.

Are you telling me I should go to the games though, because I would love to go to all of them but something about living 2 1/2 hours away and having two kids playing sports dictates my schedule.

IF I was at the LSU game Saturday, I would’ve missed my 6 year old take a handoff around the right end, out run everybody and score his first ever TD from 30 yards out. Booyah :):) this playing against 3rd graders. My little guy can fly :) ......wouldn't miss my kid's stuff for anything.

I've never had an issue with Gedney's analysis. If anything, he holds a higher standard for the team, having experienced the greatness that this program can attain. In his defense on the spring game, it was pretty much a turd dog and pony show. HCMFSS would have been happy to not have had one at all, but went through the motions to placate the diehards such as us. I'm now convinced that he told the refs not to call pass interference flags just to not give our opponents film to go off of.

Living here in NC for the last decade and a half, I've listened to quite a few games on line. Of course with the advent of more internet access to games and more connectivity, I've had to listen to them less in the last few years.

Got to meet him last year in Winston Salem the night before the game. He complimented my family on our team gear as we were waiting for a table outside of the Foothills Brew Pub (I highly recommend should you make the trip) and I recognized his voice. He thanked us for making the venture from the Carolina coast to support the team.

Park is different story. He seems easily excitable and better for a faster paced game. Think he's a much better BBall caller.

Of course, give me Doug Logan any day.

I did the same thing from my seats

The Waer kids are generally more technically sound, but young and don't add much "extra knowledge" to the broadcast.

I don't care for park's voice - always sounds like he has a sinus infection.

But if I'm listening to the game on the radio, I'm usually already in a bad mood bacause I'm not watching.

They are fine. Who really gives a crap seeing you are either watching on TV or in person. Hell they could have Roseanne Barr and Bugs Bunny doing the game for all I care.
