Max Beaulieu - where does he fit in?

I am wondering whether the staff will move him back to the defensive line now that we have some decent depth at TE and not much experience at DE.

Any insight? Was he looking alright at TE by anyone's account? Has this topic been covered?


Also are there any rumored position changes coming up this spring?

I think he has a chance to play as a blocking TE. He has legitimate size and strength for this task and I do not see much in the way of size and strength with the other TEs right now. He appears to have the hands of a DE.

Max B was also only a redshirt freshman this season. He's got 3 more years.

Hear he can't catch which doesn't help at the TE position. May need him on the D End depending who else comes in this year at the JUcO level.

He's still going to be young though. I wouldn't expect a lot of blocking ability from a 1st or 2nd year TE. Not enough time to build strength.

Someone mentioned staff like him as a blocker in the HBack/TE mode. He could still help out.
He is in front of my seasons in warm ups. Turns real awkward and has tough hands. Needs to catch 1000's of throws.

Why is LB out of the mix for him?

Would like to see him moved back to DE. I trust Marrone, though. Marrone has a good reason for moving him, I'm sure.
