That's terrible deal for the Nats. The bullpen needs some serious help.

I suspect the person on the block will be Strasburg. Depending on what happens to Desmond then I can see them trading Strasburg with the Cubs, Twins, or Dodgers for some of their infield prospects.

The Nats have some insane flexibility. They can stand pat, they can deal JZim and / or Desi in their walk years, they have created a lot of options for themselves.

I loved Clippard - feel they dealt him now before it was the year too late thing with him. Stammen, Treinen, Roark can fill the 8th inning role if not someone else.

2 and the Yanks most likely don't have the prospects to deal. If he goes Boston might be the better bet.
