Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in 2019 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers:
The numbers are the date, the actual high, the historical average high, the net difference, the cumulative net since January 1st, the numbers of days we exceeded the historical average, the number of days we didn't reach it and the number of days we tied it.
May 2019:

Comments: If you were disappointed with May you had good reason. We ‘won’ 11 days vs. the average high, lost 17 and tied 3 and dropped 50 more degrees for a cumulative total of -115 for the year. I have several pairs of shorts still in the drawer. They are usually my summer ‘uniform’ by now. I’ve started wearing short sleeves shirts but usually with a sweater on over them. Accuweather’s predictions for June are not promising: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/syracuse-ny/13202/june-weather/329675?monyr=6/1/2019 with 18 of the first 25 days predicted to be below average with a cozy 56 degree high on Monday, June 3rd. The next sunny day is a week later. The shorts might come out of the drawer at the end of the month.
