Man do those guys tackle!

When they hit somebody, the ball carrier goes down. (we still need to get better in that area - a lot better)

And they close so fast.

The SU reverse was a great play. David Stevens might have missed a block, but the USC guys closed to fast that what appeared to be a wide open play that went for virtually nothing.

Barkley and the WRs get the ink, but the USC defenders are pretty darn tough.

Stevens blew that play up by missing the block. Happened right in front of me. Could have been a huge play.

I only saw the play once so I may have missed what was happening downfield, but initially it looked to me like Sales could tried to juke it back to the inside (the defender seemed to be closing off the outside lane), to the right of Stevens and at least gained a few yards. Or were there other defenders closing in there who I just didn't notice?

That is what you get when your amateur scholastic athletes are on salary. NFL bodies and speed as freshmen.
