Jeez, you twisted bastard.
No, you are wrong. The NCAA does not run or award a trophy to the winner of the College Football Playoff Foundation championship. The NCAA had nothing to do with the change of the game’s time and has no legal basis or authority to change anything. That was up to the CFP Foundation, which is not the NCAA. Thus, whatever they are up to, the events in New Orleans are not the reason for any delay.Hah ok, Did I say they ran it. They changed the time of a Playoff Bowl game with Georgia and Notre Dame. Pretty sure that's what the NCAA is thinking about over the last 48 hours not Kyle's waiver.
DOES THE NCAA STILL SUCK, THOUGH?No, you are wrong. The NCAA does not run or award a trophy to the winner of the College Football Playoff Foundation championship. No Mike Williams from USC. Same year as Clarett.Syracuse's Mike Williams? Hard to keep track of the various Mike Williams plural over the years. He was suspended in 08, quit the team in 09, and was drafted in April 2010. No memory of him trying to go to the draft earlier.
Clarett was suspended for the 2003 season and had red flags all over him, including allegations of severe academic misconduct. Plus, he would have had to have sat for a year if he had wanted transfer in that era. Trying for the 2004 draft was really his only choice.
What do you mean? He’s technically out of eligibility. Iv literally never seen anyone announce they are entering the draft after running out of eligibility until this week. It’s not common for someone to do.Why hasn't he done that yet though, why is he waiting?
I've seen our players do it the last few years, it's not new. What do you mean? He’s technically out of eligibility. Iv literally never seen anyone announce they are entering the draft after running out of eligibility until this week. It’s not common for someone to do.
10th, funny story about that. I was actually visiting my god parents that weekend in Florida and we were invited and attended his draft party at a bar/restraunt in Florida. I believe he went to Plant high school. No, USC WR. Went 9th or so in the draft to the Lions I think?
There is a formal process of evaluation for players with eligibility remaining. He could potentially be waiting for this if it would be done in time.Everything you said is perfectly reasonable. What I'm wondering is, wouldn't Kyle already have this feedback by now? Our OC alone must be highly connected to the league still.
Nothing to disagree with thereKyle McCord 2025 NFL Draft: Scouting Report For Syracuse Orange QB
Get ready for the 2025 NFL Draft with a scouting report on Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord. See McCord's stats, background, strengths..www.the33rdteam.com
Thought this was a good read from yesterday.
More than double 1.2 million in NIL? That doesn’t seem likely. An NFL Rookie Contract is 4 years- That means if Kyle is picked between rounds 4-7 his contract would be worth 1.2M a year. He could come back to Syracuse and make almost DOUBLE that in NIL (if not more) with a chance at the CFP and the Heisman Trophy. On top of that his contract in 2026 if he is a second round pick (Very Likely) would be worth roughly $3.2m per year.
How much money will first-round draft picks make?
The first overall pick of the 2024 draft will sign a four-year deal worth around $38.5million, including a signing bonus of $24.8million. This is up slightly from the deal that last year’s No.1 pick Bryce Young signed, which was worth $37.9million.
Salaries will then drop slightly for each first-round pick, with the final pick of the first round set to sign a deal worth $12.75million. All first-round picks sign four-year deals, with the team having an option to extend to a fifth year.
How much do players outside the first round earn?
In the second round, contracts start at $9.9million and drop to $6.3million. The third round goes from $6million to $5.5million, while the parameters for the fourth round are between $4.5million and $4.8million.
This number continues to decrease right until the end of the seventh round when the final draft pick - known as Mr Irrelevant - will be able to sign a $4.09million deal.
This is only available to underclassmen so Kyle won’t get one. But he may get feedback elsewhere. There is a formal process of evaluation for players with eligibility remaining. He could potentially be waiting for this if it would be done in time.
College Advisory Committee | NFL Football Operations

To help both the clubs, who want NFL-ready players in the Draft, and the student-athletes, who are looking to enter the Draft early, the NFL relies on its College Advisory Committee. The Committee, which includes high-level personnel evaluators from NFL clubs and directors from the league’s two sanctioned scouting organizations (National Football Scouting and BLESTO), advises underclassmen on their draft prospects before they make a formal request to the league to join the Draft.
