He played in JUCO and is saying that shouldn't count. Not really comparable with Kyle's situation.Omg!!! Someone tell me what this means?!?
isnt He the dude who played 2 years at juco and now wants a fifth year. Basically saying juco yeats shouldn’t countHe played in JUCO and is saying that shouldn't count. Not really comparable with Kyle's situation.
However. He played in JUCO and is saying that shouldn't count. Not really comparable with Kyle's situation.
I think it means we need to find a judge who is a Syracuse season ticket holderOmg!!! Someone tell me what this means?!?
Good point. Just coming to post this. He played 2 years at New Mexico Military Institute (JUCO), 2 years at UNM, and one year at Vandy. He played in JUCO and is saying that shouldn't count. Not really comparable with Kyle's situation.
I argued that 30+ pages ago.I think it means we need to find a judge who is a Syracuse season ticket holder
I am not a lawyer, so maybe a lawyer can read the memo attached to this ruling and interpret it. I think the big thing that may come out of this is that the eligibility rules within the NCAA bylaws are now subject to the Sherman Act (anti-competive agreements) due to the new NIL landscape.Means we will still find a way to get screwed and swear at the NCAA for it.
My bus driver/mother is a town justice.I think it means we need to find a judge who is a Syracuse season ticket holder
There is a reality show in your future my friend. My bus driver/mother is a town justice.
I'll have my paralegals (myself) spend the night finding some case law that'll give her jurisdiction over the NCAA.
If this is allowed you will have kids staying 10 years.I am not a lawyer, so maybe a lawyer can read the memo attached to this ruling and interpret it. I think the big thing that may come out of this is that the eligibility rules within the NCAA bylaws are now subject to the Sherman Act (anti-competive agreements) due to the new NIL landscape.
As others have mentioned this is different than Kyle’s case, but I’m sure a lawyer could make some argument on why denying Kyle (or anyone) a 5th year is anti-competitive in nature and goes against the Sherman Act.
I don't believe the differences are relevant to the conclusion. You have guys getting 6 years or 8 years of eligibility, and Kyle would be shut out for a few minutes of garbage time of one extra game?I am not a lawyer, so maybe a lawyer can read the memo attached to this ruling and interpret it. Why are you so adamant? This most certainly helps Kyle's case- again it shows the NCAA is basically rubber stamping EVERYTHING! Not too mention the signing of Rickie Collins only shows that door for Kyle is still wide open.He played in JUCO and is saying that shouldn't count. Not really comparable with Kyle's situation.
Dammit. Doritosguy is a great name. I wish I had thought of that 10 years ago.Doritosguy in a rout.
Dude had ONE post, and spawned a zillion replies.
(He did - eventually - post a 2nd time.
In response to one of *my* posts.
You’re welcome!)
Prediction:
1) NCAA grants McCord a 5th year.
2) Dart gets another year of eligibility somehow and transfers to be our backup. Because, D.A.R.T.
3) We win the whole damn thing.
4) NCAA retroactively declares McCord ineligible and revokes our Championship.
5) Autry gets a 5 year extension.
bnoro can you please just be a Optimus for a little bit…. PLEASE!!!!! Darn you!!! UGH!!!!! WHY???????????? Let us dream a little longer you jerk!! Lol. JK about the jerk part….. maybe…. I don’t know….He played in JUCO and is saying that shouldn't count. Not really comparable with Kyle's situation.
#2 would say thanks for preserving my redshirt? So if you were coach, how would you explain to your number 2 that despite him working his way up the depth chart, you were going to play the guy he beat out? Would you tell him it’s because you have a crystal ball and saw him years and another team later setting records, and he may need to stay on the bench due to the potential?
How does it helps Kyle's case? Pavia was literally arguing that his two years of JUCO should not count towards his eligibility. Why are you so adamant? This most certainly helps Kyle's case- again it shows the NCAA is basically rubber stamping EVERYTHING! Not too mention the signing of Rickie Collins only shows that door for Kyle is still wide open.
The NCAA didn’t rubber stamp this, Pavia sued the NCAA and received a court ordered injunction. If Kyle loses his appeal, will he sue or will he leave? Should I Sue or Should I Go Now?Why are you so adamant? This most certainly helps Kyle's case- again it shows the NCAA is basically rubber stamping EVERYTHING! Not too mention the signing of Rickie Collins only shows that door for Kyle is still wide open.
Why would playing 2 years of JUCO not counts towards his eligibility? How does it helps Kyle's case? Pavia was literally arguing that his two years of JUCO should not count towards his eligibility.
"The NCAA is rubber stamping everything"? He had to get a court injunction and the NCAA hasn't rubber stamped anything.
