I’ve given up hope.
Technically the rule is 5 years to play up to 4.3 years. What Pavia is trying to argue is the 5 year clock shouldn’t start until you enter college. The NCAA is saying he played 3.0 over 5 past high school. Why would playing 2 years of JUCO not counts towards his eligibility?

I wish I could tell you yes, but it's not me.Is that really you in the pic next to your s/n?
Not apples to apples, but they can make it all go away by making it five to play five and saying JUCO counts. It's the obvious strategic move for the NCAA imo.He played in JUCO and is saying that shouldn't count. Not really comparable with Kyle's situation.
Another guy who made me laugh todayPrediction:
1) NCAA grants McCord a 5th year.
2) Dart gets another year of eligibility somehow and transfers to be our backup. Because, D.A.R.T.
3) We win the whole damn thing.
4) NCAA retroactively declares McCord ineligible and revokes our Championship.
5) Autry gets a 5 year extension.
NIL and back pay rulings have changed everything.Because the NCAA is arbitrary, capricious, and while the sometimes point to precedent as the basis for what they do, they equally as often deviate from precedent in a seemingly chaotic fashion when it suits them.
No idea whether McCord would have legal grounds to make an appeal, sue, or whatever. Not sure that having legal grounds matters, when the NCAA is so all over the place, and when legal actions make them pucker up.
McCord might as well roll the dice. He'd be a high profile case, and a suit would garner lots of attention in the sports media, which in and of itself might make the NCAA fold.
Again, not weighing in on whether there is legal precedent -- I honestly think that barely matters.

They are hoping to hear next week. At least one well connected person at the DART event thinks the odds might be as good as 50/50.
