He has had at least 10 assists in 5 straight games (almost 9 games, but had 9 assists in 2 games). I was wondering what the NCAA record was for consecutive double-digit assist games is? Can any of the researchers on this site find that out?

Thanks in advance.

107 assists through 10 games is freakish btw.

maybe rondo had 24 straight with the C's?

Can't find individual game stats yet but Avery Johnson averaged 13+ in 1987-1988 season

our buddy doug may be up there.

16 games w 10 or more for Scott machado 2011-2012 at iona but only 5 in a row

If only the college basketball section had a streak finder like Basketball-Reference.com

Avery actually averaged double digits in assists twice. I'd have to imagine he holds the record for consecutive games with 10+, and I'd wager it's by a wide margin.

He did average 10.7 the year before he averaged his 13. I cannot find game by game stats for the seasons he had at southern. It would be comical if he had three 10 plus assist games in a row followed by 9 asts then multiple ten assist games rinse and repeat so that he never had more than 3 or 4 double digit assist games in a season.

I don't know, but if he continues to dish out assists at his current rate and SU makes a run in the BET and the NCAAs he could absolutely threaten the single season record of 406 set by Mark Wade in '87. Wade set his record in 38 games, averaging just under 10.7 APG.
