thats the first impression i got after seeing their body types...im not worried about how slim he is because Lamb managed to survive. I have to watch him play more but he seems like a SG with PG vision. He can def shoot (even though his release is low). I think the backcourt of the future is Waiters at PG and MCW at 2G.

ned

MCW is quite possibly my favorite player already on this team...and that's saying alot since this is a very likable group of young men. Guy just oozes potential.

Lamb was a very, very good 3 point shooter for UK last year, and Calamari has called him the best player on the team this year. Let MCW get a season under him and see what his shot looks like in game situations. I love his potential also.

Waiters has some skills, but he's going to need a brain/personality transplant to be able to play PG effectively, based on his Meshaun like approach to the game last year.

I see MCW as a better PG prospect than Waiters.

I remember the debate about his (Waiters) ability to play PG before he got here. Some said he could and some said he was strictly a 2 guard. based on last year he looks like a 2 to me.

I think EastCoast got Jeremy Lamb confused with Doron Lamb.

Yeah, I'd assume that to be the case as well. MCW got a ton of Jeremy Lamb comparisons as last season went on, largely based on the eerie similarity in their frames.

I would love to see MCW get challenged early, but just don't see it happening this year. Oh well, this year he gets the keys the the gym, next year he gets the keys to the Ferrari. He just has everything in his game, and if there is something he doesn't have, he'll develop it. Loved the explosion smoothness he showed getting those two quick buckets among the trees and the jam over Fab. If he stays three years, I think his face goes on the Syracuse Rushmore of PGs.

sorry...i meant Jeremy Lamb..the lanky forward on UConn who everyone thinks is gonna be a great NBA player...(i think hes over hyped and will be another corey brewer)...SORRY im biased cuz i hate UConn so much

I hear ya on Dion's mentality, but he does two things extremely well that help his point guard chances: he has maybe the best defensive hands I've seen in a Cuse backcourt since Jason Hart, maybe better, and he is a fantastic, sure-thing free throw shooter.

He looks a loooong ways from running the offense efficiently, but as far as pressuring the ball and hitting free throws, he is a natural.

One thing that is assuring, is that if something happens to a backcourt player during the season (especially late in the season) this team will probably not skip a beat. Obviously you never want to see a player go down for any time at all, but the depth is comforting.

am i allowed to dream of a shaun livingston type PG?

dream on my friend... I know I am... that said, skipping college and getting injured left Livingston without much of a career... as long as he can stay healthy and beep up a little, MCW should have little trouble having a more fulfilling career.
