Great video, thanks!

Although MCW gets the obvious nod when it comes to athletic ability, this video shows Tyler's great awareness of his teammates. Even though this is a highlight of his repertoire, it's clear to me that he plays under control, and this is important for a PG. Overall, MCW has already proven himself on the collegiate level and I believe the best is yet to come, but still, very excited to have Tyler come in take the reigns. He just has that feel of a winner.

Playing against high schoolers is such a great comparison to playing against Division 1 players.

Nice video.

At this point, the easy answer is MCW to most all the questions. Attitude/potential/likeability tough ones to answer based on a video. I still worry about a freshman point starting next year, but he looks like the real deal, and the future looks bright.

Thanks for your input, I agree with a lot of your choices but some questions don't have an absolute answer yet.

Playing against high schoolers is such a great comparison to playing against Division 1 players.

Probably 75% of his questions can still be answered regardless of the competition they are against, especially without the need to be somewhat snippy with one of our most respected posters.

None of them have an absolute answer that's what makes it fun. Time will tell with both players but I'm glad they are both wearing orange.

This post was intended more as an indulgence like saying do you like Gertrude Hawkes or Anna Shea's chocolates better?

We are very blessed to be having this discussion.

I can remember back to a time, 1990, the year we had a championship caliber team that lacked a true D1 point guard.

It's a great post and on a slow day very much appreciated. The program is in great shape and with that comes great expectations. I think we as a fanbase are very lucky to even have most of the debates/complaints that we have. Life isn't prefect and neither is the program but they are both damn good for Orange fans.

Ennis reminds me of Mark Jackson with a much better jump shot. Totally controls the game. I would love to see them play together next year. The bigs better be ready or they may have some black eyes.

It would prolly make for a better comparison to post an MCW high school mix alongside Ennis'.

Ennis:
This video was edumacational. "He's quicker than he looks."
And i wonder how much cherrypicking was involved in selecting those jumpers. They're all 'all net.' He's got such perfect trajectory on his shot.

The lack of vertical explosion makes him look unathletic at times, but he's got a subtle bag of tricks. He will be fun.

Two words for any judgements based on hs play: Paul Harris

Guy was going to bring us 4 NCAA titles and an NBA ring by the time he left the hill.

Never buy into HS hype.

Ennis sounds like a terrific player. Let's hope he is.

I'll take mcw until Ennis has some ACC games under his belt.

A lot of these comparisons can be answered by this question: Who is 6'6"? It seems like there are similarities and a lot of reasons to be excited about Ennis. A lot of the answers in either way can be attributed to MCW's length. (I.e. MCW positives: Pro potential, court vision, rebounding, etc. Ennis positives: Syracuse career--he'll probably be here longer, quickness, attitude?, possibly better handle). A good discussion to be having!

Thank goodness someone rose to the bait. All your answers went down easy except for "Who finishes better?" If MCW is the answer, we're in trouble, at least based on the Temple game. Michael couldn't buy a layup. Good finishers are a treat to watch, but they're rarer than you think. Best I remember, especially for a freshman, was Moten.-VBOF
