For jump passes last night.

Seriously, what is the deal with this ?

It, and other things, have haunted us all season, and will be an issue against a more formidable opponent.

I hope we see more Coleman this season.

Yep. Jump passes work against smaller, slower, less experienced teams. And they look great and, oh, so stylish.

Until you play an elite team. Then his turnovers equal his assists and we are in trouble.

I didn't realize it until the BET that he does it on 75% of his passes. It's like a hitch in a batter's swing. Needs to eliminate that bad habit.

DC is fun to watch, if only for his exuberance. I wish he would make the game simpler for himself. Every possession seems like he's hunting for 'the perfect set of moves.' I loved how he wanted to dunk everything, though.

I had this same exact thought early on in the game last night. We were dominating, but all the bad habits (e.g. jump passes, penetrating into lanes that are usually easy strips) are still there. MCW and Triche catch themselves in the air looking to pass way too much. It works against the Montana's of the world, but will cause trouble later on in the tournament. I've pretty much come to accept it though and it's who they are this year so I'll just cheer them on.

You would think that, as a 6-6 point guard, the need (or perceived need) to do a jump pass would be minimal since he can see over virtually everyone guarding him. No one should be obstructing his view to the point where he feels like he needs to jump for a pass.

Plus, it's just terrible in terms of fundamentals.

Didn't see much of that last night. If anything, he was capitalizing on his opponents lazy passes for turnovers on the other end.

your not going to find a bigger MCW supporter then me, but let's just hope he has a solid game next time out. He still had a high number of turnovers in the pre seasons, and the Sixers are going to be a bad bad team

He had the 7th-best assist-to-turnover ratio in the NBA in the preseason, while playing 28 minutes a game. He did not have a high number of turnovers in the preseason. He was really, really good in this category.
