Cascade/Maverik Media Poll: Syracuse Back on Top

Syracuse grabs the top spot in the Cascade/Maverik Media Poll for Week 11 after its ACC championship.

The Orange face Colgate next weekend and are hoping to earn the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament come Selection Sunday.

Previously-No. 1 Notre Dame falls to No. 2 after its ACC semifinal loss. The Irish are followed by Denver, which is at No. 3 and has won seven straight games ahead of the Big East tournament. North Carolina and Duke round out the top five, followed by Maryland.

Colgate makes the biggest leap in the poll, coming in at No. 13 after locking up the Patriot League championship.

Johns Hopkins (No. 17), Army (No. 18) and Richmond (No. 20) enter the poll.

USILA DI Coaches' Poll: Syracuse No. 1 in Both Polls

Syracuse has climbed to No. 1 in both polls after receiving all 19 first-place votes in the USILA DI Coaches' Poll. The Orange were also first in Monday morning's Cascade/Maverik Media Poll.

The coaches' poll also has Notre Dame at No. 2, but North Carolina at No. 3 instead of Denver. The Pioneers and Duke are tied for the fourth ranking, with Maryland at No. 6.

Entering this week's polls is Johns Hopkins at No. 16, as well as Army (No. 18) and Fairfield (tied for 19th).

Nike/LM Rankings: Movement From Top to Bottom

With Syracuse winning the ACC tournament over the weekend, Duke taking down previous No. 1 Notre Dame in the tournament semifinals and Maryland falling to rival Johns Hopkins on Saturday night, there is significant movement at the top of the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Top 20.

And there's changes toward the bottom as well, with four teams entering and four leaving. The ACC and Patriot League champions have been crowned. The rest will be determined this week before Selection Sunday.

And who would have thought that the final game against Colgate would be this tough, Rollgate have really over performed this year and is a solid game to finish of the year!

Its being shown on CBS sports net? anyone got a sign on?
