Cascade/Maverik Media Poll: Hofstra Enters, Penn State Rises

The Cascade/Maverik Media Poll has been by released by Inside Lacrosse for Feb. 22, the second in-season poll.

A weekend of overtimes and upsets marked that lacrosse is here, and the rankings reflect some changes thanks to intriguing results.

At the top, Notre Dame and Denver both remain on their perch as Nos. 1 and 2, thanks to both taking care of business in Atlanta this weekend. Syracuse, though, leap-frogged up to No. 3 after beating Albany on Sunday night. Maryland remains at No. 4, while Duke comes in at No. 5 after its loss to Denver.

Penn State and Hofstra were the big risers, with the Nittany Lions now at No. 12, up from No. 19. Hofsta went from unranked to No. 13 after upsetting North Carolina this weekend.

USILA/Nike DI Coaches' Poll: Denver, Notre Dame Tight At Top

The USILA/Nike Division I Coaches' Poll continues to flip-flop between Notre Dame and Denver as the No. 1 team.

This week it's Denver, which beat Duke and claims the top spot with just two more overall voting points and the same number of first-place votes. Unlike the Media Poll, Duke did not drop after its loss to the Pioneers.

North Carolina falls to No. 10, and Hofstra goes from unranked to No. 12 in the coaches' vote.

Nike/LM Division I Men's Top 20: Upsets Shake It Up

The first full weekend slate of the year and several surprise results shake up the second in-season edition of the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine Division I Men's Top 20.

The first five teams in the rankings, led by Notre Dame, remain in order. But after that, there is plenty of movement...
