Cascade/Maverik Media Poll: Hofstra Enters, Penn State Rises
The Cascade/Maverik Media Poll has been by released by Inside Lacrosse for Feb. 22, the second in-season poll.
A weekend of overtimes and upsets marked that lacrosse is here, and the rankings reflect some changes thanks to intriguing results.
At the top, Notre Dame and Denver both remain on their perch as Nos. 1 and 2, thanks to both taking care of business in Atlanta this weekend. Syracuse, though, leap-frogged up to No. 3 after beating Albany on Sunday night. Maryland remains at No. 4, while Duke comes in at No. 5 after its loss to Denver.
Penn State and Hofstra were the big risers, with the Nittany Lions now at No. 12, up from No. 19. Hofsta went from unranked to No. 13 after upsetting North Carolina this weekend.
