The last post I made on him became a lightning rod of opinions. Trust me I have nothing against the young man, I'm in his corner, hope he makes it big, he's a great story. But as I previously stated, I would rather SU pursue taller, stronger, long armed and athletic guards who fit our defensive system better, ie at the top of the zone.

You can be sure if he translates his high school game to the collegiate level and plays like a Muggsy Bogues, Spud Webb or an Earl Boykins I'll eagerly tune in.

That said, here is a great article from the Washington Posts Dave Sheinin on the future Seton Hall Pirate.

Meet Aquille Carr, Baltimore’s “Crimestopper,” a YouTube sensation and, at 5-7, basketball’s next big thing

All that trash talk might be great for high school but it will put a target on his back in college ... and the players are oh so much better at the college level. I do wish him well at SHU and I think he has made a "good fit" decision.

I love his game and think he has some great attributes. He is a very fun player to watch. Though, for a player his size, I would love to see 20 assist games instead of 58 pt games. For him to make it to the NBA, he will need to refocus that energy and become a pure pg. I think his main focus should be to become a double double guy ala Nash. He is enough of a scoring threat to draw defenders giving him a chance to "drop some dimes". I think he is going to be a fun "case study", and I hope he blows up at SHU.

This year his ppg is down 10, from 31. Has his apg gone up any?

Shame we won't get a chance to play against him. Dicky Simpkins must be devastated having to cancel all those block parties.
