People ripped him for his shoot first attitude but he was given free reign in light of the losses of some of the other perimeter shooters. He constantly returns to SU and openly backs the program. This question should be a no brainer. Melo was a disappointment on the court last year, an embarassment off of it this year due to the transgressions (alleged) with his girlfriend and academics. The worst thing those is it appears he was given a second and third chance and blew both of them. Very little chance it has a positive effect on this team and his recruitment and spot on the roster likely cost us other prospects who would appreciate the opportunity a lot more.
