Trimble is a freshman PG who has been outstanding for Maryland this year averaging 16 pts. a game. I don't follow recruiting that closely, but did we ever try to recruit him or was the staff set on Joseph? He's from the state of Md. where we traditionally recruit well and seems like the type of player we would target.

He's the reason I got Maryland in the 'chip. Strong guard player and decent surrounding players.

I'm sure our recruiting gurus could fill in the details, but I seem to remember that Maryland had Trimble locked up very early. Could just be they were the team he grew up rooting for.

Trimble is a stud-- i watched him his first or 2nd game in college and knew immediately he would have an Ennis like impact as a freshman. Although is game is completely different then Tyler ( Trimble is a much better shooter) while Ennis is a much better passer. They both play with a unbelievable maturity and poise for freshman. With Trimble on our team we would have been a Top 10 team IMO . I also wondered why we didn't recruit him Baltimore kid with Melo in his name ( big miss by staff)

i do believe he committed to UM very early i believe early in his Junior yr so we might not had a shot.

i wonder if Trimble goes Pro this yr.. i think he is in very similar situation as Ennis. Stock might not get any higher but not sure his game translates to the NBA- ( not super athletic or elite quickness)

Melo Trimble is my second favorite Melo. I've heard there is a third but that's been erased from my memory banks.
