Lemelman for Mercyhurst had a great game. Bernie Blunt was pretty good, too, although he was forcing it a bit. They had a couple decent big men. They played competitively, and brought the effort against us. From my perspective, JJ had a fine game, mostly guarded Blunt, who was 5-13 from the floor. JJ with 15 points, 2-4 from three, 4 assists. Great game. George at least scored, and didn't look winded or ill out there. He had energy, but he made so many bad decisions. I'm glad he got some buckets, but 4 assists to 6 turnovers is not what you want to see. That won't beat decent teams. Kingz didn't score until late, but he plays a good floor game. Good effort on defense, drives to the rim when his shot isn't falling. Glad we have him. Sadiq White had probably his best game, but still made a number of boneheaded plays. He got after it on the boards, though - props to that, because he's been weak on the boards in Donnie's absence. Soare with not a great game. But the people saying he's not a Division 1 player in the chat, shut it down. He's a very solid defender. He could have gotten minutes on any of our last 5 or more teams. Kyle with 15-10-5. I mean, wow. Great effort. They were looking for him. Let's see them continue to do that. Betsey with not a great game. He has to play more inside out. Use your size, young man. Really bad result. The computer will punish us again. To me, none of these games really count until Donnie is back in the lineup. That's when we'll see who our team can be. But we're losing time. I really like that we had 5 guys score in double figures again, but not enough passing, not very good defense on the perimeter. That effort isn't going to beat very many teams.
