Maybe I should send him this message, but maybe someone better connected can pass this along:

One of my greatest moments in the dome was prior to the team storming the field back in 90 or 91? when we were hosting no. 1 Miami, the dome was packed, and when I and 48,000 other people saw the team gathering in the tunnel, we erupted. it seemed like the coaches held the team in the tunnel as the crowd noise swelled - i will never forget it it. HCSS may want to think about this, but it seems like the crowd is late arriving these days. not sure it would have same effect.

we lost a donnybrook that day, but it was a great carrier dome day even though we lost. standing O from our fans after Gedney got knocked down by bennie blades at the 1 yd line

Heh.

That name sounded familiar, so I looked it up. Then I remembered I have this card (signed, in the pack).

It's moments like that when the opposing team's players realize that The Dome can be a scary place to play.

50K seating looks like nothing to some of these teams. But when you fill that place and the fans are on top of you and the noise is trapped - it can be one of the most intimidating places to play.

Miss those times. Hopefully it's like that for Clemson.

That was a great game, even though I had to watch it at home. It was '92, btw. We didn't play them in '91, and '90 was the year they waxed us something like 31-7 (Mac's last year as HC and Graves' freshman year).
