Miami is 8-5 with 2 OT losses

They have a lot of upperclassman but not too many that were major contributors last year. They don't seem to score a ton of points nor shoot it that well from the perimeter. Honestly this game screams blow out to me. That said we seem to jump out big time on some of these weaker teams and then fall asleep to let them back in it. I'd like to see no let down and lots of time for my three sons.

They are a depleted team. Lost nearly every starter from last year. I would honestly be shocked if this game is within ten points at the final buzzer.

Vegas couldn't agree more.

Its kind of tough to discuss really. Our first ACC game is against an old BE team not one of the ACC old guard and Miami is pretty down this year.

I know I won't get to watch till the replay later this afternoon because I'm just barely in the blackout zone for ESPN3 and apparently I don't get the ACCCN.

Miami has been playing better of late since they switched to playing exclusively 2-3 zone after early season losses. Larranaga is a very good coach.

I would imagine larranaga is going to try and turn this into a limited possession game. We will need to be efficient and smart as well as hit our freebies. They dont shoot it well but that hasnt stopped other poor shooting teams from getting out to a quick start against the zone. We may have to press in this one but hopefully not. I hope for a blow out but I could see them try to make this as ugly as they can.

and so it was

and so it was
Definitely a great post by Orangezoo. There is no question that a coach like Larranaga is going to make the necessary adjustments to have Miami in the game. This is a perfect example of why teams don't go undefeated. Way too much parity and great coaching. When you think about Larranaga taking George Mason to the Final Four it is even more amazing now to think about it with the team he had. It was easy to say that Syracuse was going to win big but now it is just as easy to say that it is no surprise that the game was as close as it was.

I really hoped I was going to be wrong. With that said we needed to be efficient smart and hit our fts and we only really nailed one of those.

All the ACC underdogs will try the same formula until we learn how to deal with it.

Good pregame call
