I'm not a fan of them per se but have to admire how they freaking ALWAYS get better in March and start grooving. That Valentine and Dawson are tough when they are on their game. They beat a very good Maryland team today.

Indeed. My brother in law is an MSU alum and although he's not obnoxious about their usual March success, his snarky confidence always burns the hell out of me...especially during their typical deep runs...and we get bounced earlier than we should.

this time of year really rewards that style of play.. less fouls called, unless you play zone, physical play, find someone who makes shots and you can make a run. you can go stone cold from the field. SU has had that issue for the last few years in key games. MSU every year like Uconn lately has found that guy who makes a team better than how they are really playing.

I agree. Self recruits well, not that it's hard to at Kansas. Izzo gets the most out of some elite talent and a lot of good talent and role players.

I agree. Self recruits well, not that it's hard to at Kansas. Izzo gets the most out of some elite talent and a lot of good talent and role players.

Look at what he put on the floor yesterday. No Alexander, and Ellis on one leg. But they were in it until the end.

He's had a couple of bad early exits, but look at Duke and Coach K in the last 3 years.

Fair points but Selden has emerged as a beast and there is a ton of talent in Lawrence.

Yes, Coach K has had some early flameouts and the loss to Lehigh was awful, but you have to look at his whole body of work. He's the greatest coach in the modern era.

MSU is my second team... went to see them a few years ago when visiting my buddy. Always root for them when I can
