The jails are way too full and expensive to incarcerate every drug salesman including prescription drugs. The 5 year probation is common practice.

What is more difficult to grasp is the effect this had on the SU football team in 2011. I may be wrong, but I feel like it cost the team a bowl game.

This team was so close to winning game #6, you could say the equipment manager's diarrhea attack in week 10 had something to do with it.

Uh..., too much information. But yeah, they were close. We'll have a better idea next year what the loss of Sales meant. People disagree about how big a loss it was. I think it hurt a lot.

My personal preference is to fill jails with violent criminals first, and I wouldn't mind to see more bankers and mortgage salespeople behind bars.

I wasn't commenting on Michael Sales, just stating a fact. Personally, I think there are way too many people in prison on drug charges; mostly repeat marijauna offenders. All it does is cost the government more in legal fees and room and board.

Agreed. The prison system is a big business that keeps trying to grow their revenue line.

that's felony probation in NY. Misdemeanors are 3

Sales was and is our best reciever and our number one play maker. I know Lemon is solid but he isnt even close to Sales on game day. Marcus is our top threat and will make every other reciever better.

not saying it won't be that way this year, but i'm not sure how you can say he was our best. the 2 seasons they were both on the roster were almost identical to a tee. then this season, lemon had a far far better season than sales did in any of his 3. sure, sales had a great bowl game, but he hasn't shown that he is our best on the field...yet.
