Not surprisingly, Michigan looks overmatched.

The real reason I started this thread is to mention the AFLAC trivia question posed by Briancuse's boy: Which opponent has won the most games at Penn State?

Fowler and Herbstreit both said Pitt (which I also thought was the correct answer). The correct answer, however, is SYRACUSE.

Caught some of the first quarter while watching the Syracuse soccer game and waiting for the Yankees game to start. A couple obvious blown calls that went in State’s direction. No call on the push off for their TD, then the contact made before the ball got to the Michigan receiver on 4th down... huge misses by the zebras.

So, instead of going for it from the 41 on 4th and 6 with :56 left in the half, Khaki Boy tries a 58-yard FG. Bizarre decision, IMO.

Yep. Also, at 0-14, Patterson hit a WR with a long ball...but OPI was called. Replay pretty clearly showed that the DB was pulling the WR's jersey as he was coming back for the ball. Couple plays later, Patterson throws a pick, and maybe 2-3 plays later, Penn State scores to go up 21-0...

Horrible.

Same thing happened in UK/UGA.

Halfway through the third, 0-0. UK got a 1st down at the UGA 15. Phantom hold called. Knocked them out of fg position. No points. Game swung on that call.

I don’t even think it’s a conspiracy anymore. Refs officiate certain teams different than others and are probably nudged in the way a game should go.

so, PSU pretty clearly gets the 1st down - by about a yard - and Michigan defenders are signaling as if it's 4th down. Good awareness, fellas.

There was a book called 'Third and Out' about the hiring and firing of Rich Rod at Michigan and all the political bullsh!t between the Lloyd Carr camp and the Bo camp and how much Influence they still have on that program. Excellent read. I actually felt bad for Rodriguez.

I’m not full on conspiracy theory - but yeah ...
Conferences benefit from undefeated teams more than upsets.

Why do you say that?
When Harbaugh was hired it was not if but how many titles would he win. Now a few years later he is following a run of many coaches who have failed. lloyd Carr the symbol of success only shared a title. Seems like it is a more difficult place to win then many at the university seem to think (overrated). There is so much pressure on the coach that the job becomes suffocating(overwhelming) . I dont know if I am making sense?

Being a state school with massive fan base / alumni base is the only thing that keeps them consistently a winning program.

If they were private, they'd be below Northwestern.

Even though that kicker apparently has a big leg, that was just an insane decision. I also hated their decision to punt at midfield on 4th and 1 in the first quarter.

I might be biased because Michigan is my 2nd team but it's a great job. Great history facilities fan and alumni support. Your in the big ten in a great recruiting area.
