Just an FYI on the arms race going on in college athletics. Looks like they built new recruiting/welcome center, media space, and new locker rooms at a cost of $24M

these pictures don't impress me that much. go to ikea and get some chairs and tables. in a weird way it makes me feel better. since we can't keep up with the crazy spending, it's nice to know that it's a pretty giant waste

unless they plan on playing football in that locker room, it seems like overkill

You're right. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be. In regards to the locker room though, overkill impresses kids.

in regards to the locker room, i used to be a big proponent of redoing the locker rooms, but the more you think about it, the kids are only in it for 6-7 times a year. Don't get me wrong, they should look nice, but spending 24M on locker rooms, I agree, much overkill, unless you have the money burning a hole in your pocket.
