OK, that's a misleading headline, but I hear it's all about the BuzzFeed and Upworthy these days, so...

Interesting articles about the sharp decline in UM season ticket sales and the new packages being offered to offset that loss.

Since we debate SU student attendance endlessly I thought there was some interesting data in the piece.

Apparently UM student season ticket sales are usually in the 18-21K range, but they're expecting just 13-14K this season.

Michigan's fairly pedestrian home schedule, along with the nationwide trend in lower student attendance, is being blamed.

Wikipedia tells me that there are 28K undergrads at UM, and another 13K post-grads. So 14K from that 41K is 34%. Syracuse's comparable student population is 21K M(15K undergrad, 6K post-grad).

So a similar share would yield ~7K student season ticket holders.

I'm guessing we don't have nearly that many, but does anyone have a count? I'm curious to know how we compare to such a football factory.

Bastards! Who doesn't like puppies! Oh wait there is more but I stand by my comments

We have 7k primetime SU students and 700 Nooner SU students.

Next time you might want to try "You'll never believe what happens next!" or "The third bullet point caught me by surprise," or "The last paragraph broke my heart."

Students will be as much a part of restoring national prestige as on field performance.

You need a rowdy, packed, college atmosphere to draw ticket sales, recruits, media, better competition etc.

I was saving those for future posts. DAMN YOU FOR RUINING IT!
