Ok, a lot of the things I see here would’ve been concerns prior to him getting hired. We’re past the halfway point so his prior experience is irrelevant. I’ll never understand tanking, but, if that’s your opinion then so be it. Trevor may end up being great in the NFL... But I just don’t see selling quit to 53 guys this year so we can bring in a guy who may or may not be guy for the future. Do you think drafting him #1 immediately gives the Giants what they need to be the team you think they can be? Because that’s what that investment is. Daniel Jones has been frustrating this year no doubt, but he’s shown plenty of capability. It’s hard for me to believe Trevor Lawrence will be that significant of an upgrade, especially immediately. There’s usually a 2-3 year burn before the rookie QB’s get comfortable enough in the system to execute at higher levels. And when Trevor goes to a sub-par NFL Team versus the greatest assembly of talent type team in the NCAA, it’s a pretty good bet there’ll be some fall off. But hey, Burrow and some of these other young guys are playing pretty lights out. I don’t think you’ll ever find a team say that it’s the right thing to do. I mean as stupid as this scenario is, the Giants win today and they’re a 1/2 game outta 1st for the division with 6 weeks left. Right, wrong or indifferent, you don’t quit on that. And the bad news is, even if the Giants are in a position to draft Fields, they ain’t gonna. For my money, Joe Judge has checked a ton of boxes this year. Really strong hire thus far imo. He’s building a culture of accountability and discipline. Something we’ve lacked big since Coughlin left. Defense has been an immense upgrade, way beyond expectations. Offensively Garrett plays a ball control type game. I think Danny Dimes is being far too meticulous, kids just gotta start playing and let it rip. He'll get better with the turnovers, but it’s maddening at times. We’re not very talented at WR and super young on the OL. That line’s going to develop and the offense will improve with some more talent at the skill spots. ST’s are fine. Did you see Golden Tate’s response to the media? When have you ever seen a 10-year NFL vet be so contrite after a temper tantrum? Judge had him run scout team all week and left him in his apartment for a divisional tilt. That rookie HC with no experience just dropped the hammer on something fairly minor and the team listened and responded. Give me that type of coaching everyday of the week, because those are the teams that win games eventually. As of right now, I love the JJ hire.
