I ran across this rather amazing listing of Mickey Mantle's longest home runs:

I'm extemely skeptical of the listed distances. The theory used is that all home runs can be measured as triangles. In fact, when the ball starts to lose energy, it tends to come down rather quickly. perhaps not straight down but it doesn"come in for a landing".
