How did he end up at Hofstra and then Stony Brook. He played at Riverhead HS on Long Island (malcom cater/mike owen) where as a senior they were 12-0 and he rushed for 2300 yards and 33 touchdowns while being named the NYS Gatorade player of the year.

Kid was impressive, I'm surprised he slipped through the cracks coming out of Riverhead.

I was thinking the same thing the whole game. Kid is a stud.

Marrone mentioned it on Syracuse Sidelines that he was one of the first recruits he looked at when he took over but that we just had too many RBs at the time (I think he mentioned 6 or 7) so they didn't offer him.

that makes sense and at the time i think we had Carter, Bailey, Collier and Mike Jones among others.

I'm surprised he didn't get looks from other school either though; uconn, buttgers or bc

there were a couple theories atto what happened to Coker. I do t think the truth ever came out. One was the sexual abuse investigation, no curves ever filed. Another was that he was cheating, taking tests for other kids for money (he is a presidents list type student).

I'm not doubting it, I just meant that would probably be the first time I've heard of a BCS-level kid getting kicked out of school for that.
