Aaron Sorkin was very good.
To further date myself, mine was William Buckley. The content was interesting, but his delivery put many to sleep.

As I recall, our speaker in 1977 was supposed to be Kurt Waldheim, former Secretary-general of the UN. However, he was suffering disgrace for his hidden Nazi ties, so in stepped NYS Governor Hugh Carey. Good switch, since a couple of years later he dropped us a bag of state money to build the Carrier Dome.
