Guy had all the talent in the world. He had 746 yards receiving through 7 games his Jr year before being permanently removed from the program. Probably would have been our all time receiving leader by a mile had he not gotten suspended multiple times. Still is #7 only playing 2.5 years.

Had he applied himself and not been a dumbass, probably would have been a 1st round pick and at least a top 20-30 range WR in the league for years, maybe even better. He was that talented.

Dude had almost 1,000 receiving yards 2 of his first 3 years in the league while acting like a boy, got a FAT contract, and then fizzled out. So physically gifted, but this is a mental game too.

We've had quite a few come through the program, including Marvin Harrison (speaking of questionable characters) and one of the all-time under-appreciated SU alums (and he's a HOFer): Art Monk.

He was a RB for 3 of his 4 years at Cuse.
Only officially a WR as a Senior.

Some dude named Joe Morris beat him out for the RB1 position, so he switched to WR.

Seems like that worked out pretty well for both of them.

What I loved about Art Monk was - he played WR like a RB, and always went for extra yardage.
A lot of WR's duck out of bounds to avoid getting hit. Art would seek out the contact for the extra yardage.

And - he grew up just a few miles from where I did, so that was kinda cool too.

If we are talking physical gifts I think Johnny Morant was a physical freak who wasn’t a very good football player. He made the NFL alone on his athleticism
