Butler didn't get a lot of run but in the time he had, he did damage. On one play, he was called for offensive pass interference. I wasn't crazy angry at that one, given past instances where it appeared he didn't even try to break up a pass thrown more to a defender than to him), but he still didn't go after the ball like he should.
He also committed an unforced penalty, believe he moved after coming to set position, in a very careless moment. After that one, he was pulled from the field and I don't think he returned. The guy can block really well and he has the size and speed to be a top notch WR. I hope the light bulb goes on soon.
This was the best game I have ever seen from Sterling kicking the ball off. He was killing it all day long. Also had a couple monster punts.
Shy and Jamel Custis are as good a group of gunners as we have had in many years. Even if there was a punt returned for a TD Saturday. They have been in place in the face of the receiver time and time again. Great hustle and toughness from these two.
There were at least 2 bad snaps, at least to my eyes watching live. One was on the punt that was returned for a TD, where Sterling almost touched the ground with his knee trying to field the ball. The other was on the Szymt missed FG. The new LS is a true frosh. This is going to happen when you play guys with so little experience. Hopefully he learns from it.
