But just from my perch, I do think they understand that they are coming under increased scrutiny for being out-and-out greedy.  None of them want to be hauled in front of a Senate sub-committee and roasted.  For the B10, there is no slam dunk outside of ND.  If they add Rutgers under the guise of "getting" the NY market, they then have to slog through every cable affiliate and negotiate for a higher level of carriage.  It's an exhausting process that could also bring scrutiny from the government.

So my point is just that while people just assume these conferences will blow up to 16, there are a TON of reasons why they won't.  At least for now.  I would argue that once ND and Texas are off the board there is very little difference in value among the programs that are left.  Sure, Kansas is worth more than Baylor, UConn more than USF, but its incremental.
