First there were season opening games in Japan, in 2014 we could see some games in the Netherlands. The 3-game series would most likely be played in July.
Baseball is a fairly popular secondary sport there. The town of Hoofddorp will be constructing a new stadium that will conform to MLB requirements. Their discussions with MLB led them to believe that MLB games will be coming, abd it appears that MLB has accepted their bid. The plan is to construct a stadium with temporary seating for 30,000. Once the games are done the temporary seating will be removed, reducing capacity to less than 1,000.
