Manfred wanted the players to continue dragging out the negotiating so he could run the clock out and put 50 games as the season. MLBPA declines the last offer and said on Saturday they aren’t negotiating anymore as it was pointless and wanted baseball to set the schedule for the 2020 season by June 15th. The owners didn’t expect the players to do that and now Manfred said today he isn’t sure their will be a season because owners don’t want to set the schedule right now and want to play less games unless players do them a favor without them opening their books.
