And I am also sympathetic to the idea that most of these teams have prospered for years (in part because the union won't agree to a revenue split and they're getting like 42% or whatever it is) so the owners should probably just suck it up and take the losses this year. I've been reading a ton of articles about the Mets attempted sale, and I have to laugh every time someone parrots the line from ownership that the Mets lose $50 million a year.
