Will be interesting to see how their roles are adjusted to get them the ball more. Without any proven wideouts back, we will need those two to do more and to have more opportunities.

I know this scheme creates wideouts and I’m not worried, I think some young guys will come on. But we at least had Ish and Estime back in 2016 and Ish and Phillips back this year. We don’t have anyone back at WR that has shown much. Pierce is bigtime IMO, hope we can use him more as a receiver next year and also feature Neal in space more heavily.

Butler hasn't been amazing or anything, but he's not a zero.

There are opportunities for players to step up for sure though. Would not surprise me if our best wideouts are freshmen or redshirt freshmen next season.

No one else was impressed at times by Strickland this year?

Am I alone on this one?

Not a zero but I also don’t have the same level of confidence in him that I had in Ishmael and Phillips going into this season or Ishmael and Estime going into last season.

Strickland progressed. But he is not a playmaker.

In a perfect world, he'd be the designated 3rd down back in specific situations. Or a Safety.
Id argue that when we’re within 30 yards of the end zone, and we dump the ball off to him in space, he’s as good as anyone we have. Of course he wont look good running up the middle against nfl calibre d lines.

Actually yeah. He improved and was looking better before he got hurt.

I think Neal has more upside overall though. Hoping RB starts to become a strength next year. These guys have an awful lot of experience and have gotten better, OL should be better...would be nice to have a solid running game.

Absolutely. I dont know if Moe stays at RB though.
