Moe Neal closing in on 1000 yards

He's become a fine running back, (and Strick is good as well). Neal and Adams may be the rotation next year with Howard at the goal line and then Adams and Howard the next year.

Still, I think Neal should have been used in situation where we could get him on an 'island' with outside runs and passes. He would have made a great Lenny Moore-type halfback.

Instead he's been built up to run between the tackles and has become good at that now, too. He could wind up playing on Sundays.

He made a big jump in mass and strength this past offseason and deserves more praise and attention than he's been getting. If he can make a similar jump between this year and next he's going to be a real problem. How many times has he hit the seam this year and been cut down by a diving arm tackle? With a little more strength he'll pop more of those to the house.

Not sure how many he will get this weekend but if we play against a sieve defense in our bowl game...

Nothing against Neal but I’d be very surprised to see him playing on Sundays

So what?

How is that related to the topic of this thread?

Maybe you should read the whole freaking post. It was a reply to someone's comment.

Maybe you should freaking calm down. I didn't see any post above referencing the NFL, and your freaking post didn't freaking have a quote to somebody else's freaking post.

***I didn't see the freaking note at the bottom of SWC's post, underneath the video.

Well, I'm glad we freaking cleared this up and so quickly.

In hindsight I shouldn't have made the comment at all even though it was in the context of a small part of the thread but devalues what the thread is about. Wasn't really trying to be negative, wrote it quickly while at work without thinking. I personally don't think he's been able to show everything he can do since he's been here. Not really used towards his strengths at times, IMO.

Honestly, I don't see him as an NFL player either [although all it takes is the right situation with the right team, so not saying it isn't possible].

Definitely not impossible and really it's not as much about him personally why I think he won't play sundays. I think his talents weren't always maximized game in and game out, so he doesn't stand out to scouts overall. And there are so many college RB's available, it's one of the hardest positions to get into the NFL if you are putting up crazy numbers. A really good RB might never even get a sniff.

I disagree...I think Neal has a decent shot at the NFL. He can run and catch the ball while also being at SU, block.

Mo could be a slot guy in nfl but he won’t be a Rb. Gonna be hard cause all I hear about is this Adams kid and it would be a shock if he isn’t day one starter all year long type of player. We will see what Mr. Mo does to counter that.
