LOL
Wow. Getting LESS THAN ZERO respect on their board.
I mean, you'd think they picked us on purpose.
It's probable, yeah. But jeezus are they confident. Not so much as a whisper of a worry. Apparently humility is not their forte. I will not be revisiting that POS.
Typical though. Gawd it would be great to put them down...Boeheim and Bernie rot in hell![]()
I would imagine after the loss we just went through, that we'll be spitting fire by the time they toss it up on Thursday. First round games are always unpredictable, but I am certain that our kids are going to come out focused and take care of business.
Its why they play the game.In 1991, we were the undisputed Big East regular season champions and ranked #4 in the country. We had a 16 point lead on Villanova in the first round of the BET with 4 minutes left. I remember Doug Logan and whoever his partner was at that time talking about our match-up in the next round, when the game would start, when the pre-game show would start, make sure to turn in, etc. Nova outscored us 0-18 in those 4 minutes. The team was still in a funk a week later when they lost to the Richmond Spiders. I remember looking at the Richmond scores that year before the game and not seeing any big wins and a 50 point loss to Georgia. It seemed like the perfect team to bounce back on. Instead they bounced us. it's the only time we've gone one and done in both tournaments.
That's not a prediction. Just a warning. Sometimes a collapse at the end of a game can carry over to the next week. Let's hope you are right and that this doesn't happen here.

We shouldn't be smug about this. If Brandon has another one of his 2-12 with 0-7 from 3 games with 6 TO's, we could go down to anyone. As good as we played in NYC, this is too fragile a team to be over confident.
