It's all about timing. I don't think she was hired until Tyler's senior year.

Does anyone know the status of the NCAA's investigations into UNC football. A year ago before the Penn State fiasco I was reading that UNC was likely up against some heavy penalties, and I haven't heard much of anything since all heck broke loose in Happy Valley. A part of me feels like SU had more bad publicity for the Bernie Fine mess than UNC has had for all of its football violations.

If she wasn't hired until Tyler's senior year then it appears to eliminate a quid pro quo regarding his accepting a schollie at UNC. Over the course of Tyler's first three years at UNC, it's not unreasonable to assume that mom impressed some one (other than Kupec) and was offered a job. I think it is highly unlikely, but it's one line of defense.

Three other probes ongoing... Will the NCAA decide John's Raymon's eligibility before it finds no fault against UNC in the 3 ongoing probes? At this point I'd be shocked.
