That's what I thought I saw, but Dino convinced me I was crazy. I also noticed a quick release, which is so important.I don't see anything wrong or out of the ordinary with Morgan's throwing motions. The mechanics seem better than Rex to.
People also need to go back and watch his drive. Wake is not in a soft prevent. They show 3 down lineman and blitz 4, 5 and 6 guys at times. They show 5 on the line and drop a guy back into coverage trying to confuse Morgan.
On Morgan's 3rd play he's throwing a quick curl to Harris but Wake jumps the route. Morgan pulls it down and then throws across the middle to Courtney. It was clearly a second read. (This was a really good play.)
4th play Wake rushes 4, we have 4 wide and Lutz buts off a big run.
5th play Wake has 3 down, a 4th guy showing blitz who drops in to coverage and they blitz an OLB on the other side. The guy is untouched but it's a quick 3 yard pass to Harris.
6th play Wake shows 5 guys on the line, they rush all 5 and blitz a 6th from the MLB. The OL blocks it and Morgan throws a quick 6 yard out to Nykiem.
7th play Wake again has 5 on the LOS, with a MLB in the box. The again rush all 6 guys with the DE's running inside stunts. This is the play Morgan feels the heat and goes left keeping his eyes down field and hitting a wide open Sharod Johnson. Morgan is looking left, pulls it down, glances right and then rolls back left.
8th play WR screen to Queeley. No gain.
9th play is Lutz up the middle stood up.
10 play is the TD pass to the TE
Every pass Morgan threw was right on the money and only once did Wake rush 3 guys. They mostly brought some pressure with a couple of outright blitzes.
Most often a young defense will beat a young offense. You saw a QB/offense exploit what was there against back-ups and young players. Not unlike what we trot out on defense full-time at several positions. Congrats to Morgan for playing well.
I think Dino is playing coy. In his presser today he already declined to say how much of the offense Morgan know. I predict we see him Saturday when the game is still early.
The big play where he feels the pressure and rolls left to throw back right...that was something.
It's weird to me when people explain away our backup QB's success to being against backups, but then expect more of our defense. Which is is composed of a back 8 who are either backups themselves, or barely saw the field before this year.

I think it's more people wanting to see the young guys get some experience, more than thinking that Morgan is necessarily Tom Brady.Man im just glad that the prospect of morgan is still keeping my interest alive. Crazy the kid only had two d2 offers and now is the subject of heated debate.
In a row?My completely out of thin air goal - Morgan finishes the season with 50+ pass attempts.
If it wasn’t for the Morgan flash at the end of the game I’d have no hope. He brought a glimmerMan im just glad that the prospect of morgan is still keeping my interest alive. Crazy the kid only had two d2 offers and now is the subject of heated debate.
The play where our other QBs who played this year would’ve been sacked, but Morgan spins out and throws cross body for a big completion. That single play brought me the “glimmer” of hope. Remember when Dungey was a Frosh and mad a similar play rolling out hitting Estime I think it was for a long TD? I remember saying “this kid has got IT”. Not saying Morgan’s play on Saturday was telling me he is the guy for the future, but it gave me that “glimmer” of what could be with Morgan. Play the kid Dino. Let’s see what he has got! He has the size, has escapability, and is young. If it wasn’t for the Morgan flash at the end of the game I’d have no hope. He brought a glimmer
