Most EXCITING win/comeback since ......

It wasn't as important but 1987 when Owens went in for the 2 point conversion to keep us undefeated. This still keeps us in the running for the big east title on our way out the door. After that disgusting loss to they who shall not be named, wouldn't that be great?

Game that immediately springs to mind is the multiple OT game against Va Tech when Damian Rhodes reversed fields and went 25 yards for the game winner in the Dome.

How about Va Tech 2002. We were never behind more than 11 points but we fell behind 4 times and came back to take the lead each time before winning in OT 50-42.

Do you remember who caught a key pass in that game?

HINT: he did it AGAIN in another important NFL game...

That game was the David Tyree show. I remember sitting there watching that game not believing my eyes. We were terrible that year, 4-8 I think.

Yeah, we were not a great team in'02, but our QB was an absolute magician though...

Yeah, that's the game I posted about, with Rhodes scoring the game winner.

Wasn't just one key pass if memory serves, Tyree had over 200 yards receiving and blocked a punt (?). That game had ZERO defense in it. I think Bryan Randall had 500 yards passing, which probably was half his career total for and Ernest Wilford had close to 300 yards receiving.

A buddy of mine, my sister and I went up to that game (it was the year after I graduated) and somehow bought front row 30 yard line tickets at the ticket window 45 minutes before kickoff.

Tyree had 9 catches for 229 yards but no scores. Ernest Wilford had 8 catches for 279 yards and four scores for the Hokies, including 75 and 87 yard TD catches. . Troy Nunes passed for 403 yards and but only 1 TD pass with 3 picks. Bryan Randall passed for 504 yards and 5 scores for Va Tech. We out-rushed them 201-53 and out-gian them 604-559. Most importantly we out-scored them 50-42.
