With just over four minutes left in the first half, Waiters throws down an impressive dunk on a fast break...then busts his hump down the court and heads off a would be scoring opportunity by NC State. somehow he dunked the ball and beat the guy he dunked on down the court..despite the head start..

no preening...no crotch grabbing..none of the crap we have seen from syracuse teams of recent memory. he just got back and played D..even a split second of hesitation would have been two points for NC State.

well done

Yeah that was nice but I thought the best sequence was when dirty hit a three then on defense disrupted there flow and then banged in another three.

There were some pretty good sequences throughout the game. Seeing how good they can be when they are hitting on all cylinders is pretty cool.

We don't need a lot to suddenly turn on a 15-2 or a 16-5 sequence. Right now, when things aren't going well, we can turn it so fast even the fans who expect the worst can't get too disappointed.

This team sucked for about 20 minutes of this game, with a team and a crowd that was very excited to have Syracuse in the house.

About half of this game we couldn't shoot, or defend or drive.

For several minutes each half, it didn't matter what our offense did, we destroyed them by stealing the ball and stopping them on our defensive end.

Here is a pbp of those minutes... Note, at 6:06 we were up 1 at 30-29, and at 1:55 we were up 46-29. Nobody in their right mind would say that Dion Waiters didn't create that run. Were four of his teammates on the court? Hell yes, but Waiters was by far the best player on the floor, and the game turned when he got pissed off. I guess JB needs to piss him off enough, because something very similar happened when we were tied up in the second half, and suddenly we won.

My advice for every team around, don't talk to Dion Waiters, he will apparently Hulk out on you, and you suddenly will be a victim of a 16-0 run, and your team will be pissed!

Now if only JB can convince the team it won't be so simple after we crush somebody for 5 minutes. If Syracuse doesn't sleep for 10 minutes a half, our margin of victory is ten more, easily.
