He illustrates my point perfectly. He showed talent early, got killed behind a bad line on a bad team, and never looked the same afterward. Why do that to another promising guy, if you don't have to? It doesn't matter now because the Rex injury made the decision for the team. Prior to that, it made no sense because there was little to gain and a lot to lose. You're citing development, but that's not what you really wanted. YOU wanted to see another guy play. Had Rex not been hurt, Morgan would have had the full spring and summer to develop and a real fall camp to compete for a spot on the two deep. And that's normal. That's how Marvin Graves and Donovan McNabb did it. That's how most do it. The guys you keep talking about are the exceptions.

I question how much you know, given the two years you referenced were years Robinson was a back up and then was moved to another position. Did you even watch him play?
