http://dailyorange.com/2015/01/stamoulacatos-confirms-hell-forgo-senior-season-to-turn-pro-with-greek-club/ Men's Soccer Stamoulacatos confirms he’ll forgo senior season to turn pro with Greek club Junior midfielder Stefanos Stamoulacatos will forgo his senior season and join Greek professional club Iraklis Thessaloniki .C., he confirmed to The Daily Orange in a Twitter direct message Wednesday night. According to a tweet from Stamoulacatos’ agent Ted Philipakos, his client recently completed a trial with the club and will officially join the team in July. The attacking midfielder becomes SU’s second junior to leave early to turn pro this offseason, joining Generation Adidas signee Alex Bono. The 5-foot-10 Stamoulacatos is from nearby Camillus, New York and has a large contingent of fans that make themselves heard every time he steps on the field. After starting 33 of 39 games, tallying five goals and recording four assists in his first two seasons with the Orange, Stamoulacatos started eight games and posted three assists in 2014. Without Stamoulacatos, Syracuse still returns its incumbent starter at central attacking midfield in freshman Julian Buescher and also defensive midfielder Juuso Pasanen.
